Axial face seal (Gamma Seal) manufactured by lanhe is a combination of metal casing and rubber lip seal. Gamma seal can be used in greasy and dirty environment as a primary sealing solution and can also acts as an auxiliary dirt seal that helps protecting bearings and radial seals from water, dirt, grease, moisture, and other contaminants.The rubber part is usually made of nitrile butadiene rubber and FKM, and the metal part is made of steel aisi 1010, Available in 9RB and RB type,The 9RB profile is a gamma seal. The design of the metal part offers additional protection in the form of a labyrinth in the housing,should there be a higher pollution levels compared to the RB profile.
Technical description of the oil seal in GAMMA:
The design of the most used GAMMA oil seal RB/9RB is based on many years of experience, and the total axial compression force of the seal lip depends on the pre-elongation of the rubber part, as well as the amount of elasticity and deformation of the seal lip.
