Polyurethane rubber can be mixed into two categories, one is polyester polyurethane (AU), the other is polyether polyurethane (EU). AU type has excellent oil, fuel and solvent resistance, but is susceptible to hydrolysis, EU type is not susceptible to hydrolysis, and has considerable fuel and oil resistance compared to low acrylonitrile (18-22% ACN) nitrile butadiene rubber or HNBR.
Compared with other elastomers, PU oring made of polyurethane rubber has excellent wear resistance, high tensile strength and high elasticity.
